Orbit Bridge: Important Policy Change and Service Update
Hello, Orbit Chain Community members.
We are providing an announcement regarding important policy changes and updates to the Orbit Bridge service.
Key Updates
1. Change in Transaction Processing Structure and Introduction of Direct Token Claim
The previous structure, where Orbit Bridge executed token transactions on behalf of users, is being changed. Consequently, users must now directly claim their tokens after creating a token transfer transaction and once the bridge validators have completed the verification.
▪️Direct Token Claim Procedure:
- After generating the token transfer transaction and once bridge verification is complete, users must execute the transaction to claim tokens directly by clicking the [Claim Token] button in the [Activity] tab within Orbit Bridge.
- Exception: Transfers of oXRP to the Ripple Chain will be processed automatically as before.
▪️Important Note: Fees Required to Claim Tokens
- To pay the transaction fees incurred on the receiving chain, users must hold a small amount of that chain's native token.
- Example: When transferring tokens from the Ethereum (ETH) Chain to the KAIA Chain, a fee (KAIA token) is required on the KAIA Chain to claim the tokens.
2. Elimination of Bridge Fee
Due to the change in the transaction execution structure, Orbit Bridge will no longer execute transactions on behalf of users, and thus the Bridge Fee will not be incurred.
▪️The Layer Fee (network fee) will remain as before.
3. Change in Transaction Search Function
The function to search the entire transaction history of Orbit Bridge will be removed, and the feature will be changed as follows:
▪️The [Explorer] tab will be changed to the [Activity] tab.
▪️The Activity tab will only display bridge history related to the user's currently connected wallet address.
We kindly ask that you familiarize yourselves with the new policy and service environment, specifically the mandatory 'Direct Token Claim' procedure and the requirement to 'Hold the Native Token of the Receiving Chain', to ensure smooth service usage.

주요 업데이트 내용

기존에 오르빗 브릿지가 이용자의 토큰 트랜잭션 처리를 대행하던 구조가 변경됩니다. 이에 따라 이용자는 토큰 전송 트랜잭션을 생성한 후, 브릿지 검증인의 검증이 완료된 토큰을 직접 수령해야 합니다.
▪️토큰 직접 수령 절차:
- 토큰 전송 트랜잭션 생성 후, 브릿지 검증이 완료되면 오르빗 브릿지 내 [Activity] 탭에서 [토큰수령하기]버튼을 눌러 토큰을 직접 수령하는 트랜잭션을 실행해야 합니다.
- 예외: oXRP를 리플(Ripple) 체인으로 전송하는 경우는 기존과 동일하게 자동으로 처리됩니다.
▪️주의 사항: 토큰 수령을 위한 수수료 필요
- 토큰을 수령하는 체인에서 발생하는 트랜잭션 수수료를 지불하기 위해 해당 체인의 소량 네이티브 토큰을 보유하고 있어야 합니다.
- 예시: 이더리움(ETH) 체인에서 카이아(KAIA) 체인으로 토큰 전송 시, KAIA 체인에서 토큰 수령을 위한 수수료(KAIA 토큰)가 필요합니다.
2. 브릿지 수수료 (Bridge Fee) 폐지
트랜잭션 대행 구조 변경에 따라, 오르빗 브릿지가 더 이상 트랜잭션을 대행하지 않으므로 브릿지 수수료 (Bridge Fee)가 발생하지 않습니다.
▪️Layer Fee (네트워크 수수료)는 기존과 같이 유지됩니다.
3. 트랜잭션 검색 기능 변경
오르빗 브릿지 전체 트랜잭션 내역을 검색하는 기능이 사라지고, 다음과 같이 기능이 변경됩니다.
▪️[Explorer] 탭이 [Activity] 탭으로 변경됩니다.
▪️Activity 탭에서는 현재 연결된 이용자의 지갑 주소와 관련된 브릿지 내역이 노출됩니다.
새로운 정책 및 서비스 환경에 따라 '토큰 직접 수령' 절차와 '수령 체인의 네이티브 토큰 보유' 필수 사항을 반드시 숙지하시어 서비스 이용에 혼선이 없도록 유의해 주시기를 부탁드립니다.

1. Undistributed inflation accrued between the end of Orbit Chain network operations and the approval of OIP-7 (highlighted area in the attached table)
→ 9,244,302.58125 ORC
2. Residual amounts disclosed in the OIP-6 Report (Rows 26 & 27: Legacy Bridge Tax and OIP-6 Registration Fee)
→ 159,795.595171460480238143 ORC
3. OIP-6 Registration Fee consumed per OIP-5 approval
→ 100,000 ORC
Total Burned: 9,404,098.176421460480238143 ORC
This burn is intended to prevent market distortion caused by non-circulating supply and to establish a sound token economy aligned with the new inflation structure introduced under OIP-7.
