—🇸🇾Elham Ahmad, a senior figure in the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, issued a public statement on X regarding the situation in Aleppo’s Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh districts.
She said the administration considers the safety of civilians in the two neighbourhoods to be a top priority, and confirmed openness to an offer by international mediators to relocate forces from Sheikh Maqsoud to areas east of the Euphrates “in a secure manner”.
Ahmad added that any redeployment must include guarantees for a local Kurdish protection presence and the establishment of a local council for residents, in line with the 1 April agreement.
