Despite reports claiming that an agreement was reached between President Trump and Prime Minister Bibi to reopen the destroyed Rafah Crossing in both directions, the Israeli security establishment clarified that it has yet to receive any instructions from the political leadership regarding such actions.
IDF source added that the likelihood of Israel allowing goods to enter the Gaza Strip is low and improbable as Bibi wouldn't agree, as this would mean rebuilding the sector without the return of the body of the last Israeli captive and without the disarmament of HAMAS.
In this context, War Minister Yisrael Katz issued instructions to the Israeli army to prepare for the possibility of a resumption of intense fighting in the Gaza Strip.
