The Syrian Arab Republic rejects the mutual recognition between the Israeli occupation and the Somaliland region and affirms its support for the unity of Somali territory.

The Syrian Arab Republic expresses its strong condemnation and categorical rejection of the declaration of mutual recognition between the Israeli occupation authorities and the Somaliland region, considering this step a clear violation of the principles of international law and the Charter of the United Nations, and a direct infringement upon the sovereignty, national unity, and territorial integrity of the Federal Republic of Somalia.

Somaliland has just recorded its first official recognition on the international scene. De facto independent since 1991, it has long been kept out of the community of nations due to ideological tensions and a rigid interpretation of international law, which have obstructed its recognition and admission to the United Nations.
It is unreasonable that the international community has preferred to keep the seat of a non-existent Somali state vacant for 34 years, rather than recognizing Somaliland, a stable and functional state that has remained standing despite regional chaos and the constant threat of terrorism from the Shebabs.
The Federal Republic of Kabylia welcomes this first international recognition and calls on all states to follow in the footsteps of Israel, which has, once again, demonstrated political intelligence and geopolitical clarity.
It shares the joy of the Somaliland people and extends its congratulations to the State of Israel and its highest authority, His Excellency Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
May this recognition inaugurate a new cycle of independences: no longer those of peoples artificially formed in the mid-20th century, but those of true nations, long imprisoned in postcolonial states that have become carceral.
Like Somaliland, Kabylia too will eventually be recognized and respected on the international scene.
