☄️ BREAKING: Major treason trial underway in Estonia

🇪🇪 Estonian prosecutors are seeking 17-year prison sentence for Aivo Peterson, accused of creating a "civil defense unit"(Illegal Paramilitary organization) alongside political party Koos that would serve as alternative to Estonia's official defense structures.

✍️ Key allegations:

⚠️ Unit planned to recruit weapon permit holders nationwide

🪖 The Unit's purpose was to fill the role of the Estonian military and police during times of political crisis

🇷🇺 Presented publicly as "charity" while secretly coordinating with Russian GRU military intelligence

👀 Two other defendants face 11-13 year sentences. All charges still pending trial.

‼️ This represents one of the most serious national security cases in recent Estonian history.

🇪🇪 - KOOS is a small Estonian political party that has existed since may 2022.

🥸 Since the internal reform of the Estonian Left Party which saw the victory of the Pro-European faction over the Pro-Russian faction KOOS is the only Pro-Russian party in Estonia.

🇷🇺 Their leader Oleg Ivanov is currently hiding inside Russia due to fears of getting arrested in Estonia.

🤡 They are socially conservative and officially "only" aim to leave NATO and the EU. Their main talking points revolve around Russian-minority rights. Although most people accuse them of trying to get Estonia annexed into Russia.

🤮 Party leaders have appeared on Russian state tv, have called the Bucha massacre staged and overall parroted Russian propaganda.
