The whole Red Sea area and North-Eastern Africa has an "alliance"/Alignment structure very similar to pre-WW1 Europe where everyone is somehow aligned into more or less two camps
Luckily for humanity these alliances are a lot less solid and less official than the ones we previously had which mitigates the chances of a massive conflict involving everyone breaking out
However instead of one massive conflict you have the "two" "sides" waging a proxy war against each other instead
