Yasser’s militia was harassing a local family called the Abu Sanima because they refused to join him or leave Rafah, so he started to randomly arrest their members and confiscate their phones
One of the people kidnapped was the nephew of a man named Mahmoud Abu Sanima. Mahmoud went to Yasser and asked him to release his nephew, Yasser said no and disrespected him, the dude left fuming, came back with a submachine gun and shot Abou Shabab, his second in command and almost a dozen of his men before being shot himself
