🇩🇪🇩🇪 - Sarah Wagenknecht, nicknamed Zarenknecht (Tsar's Servant) due to her affinity for the Russian dictator Putin, has announced she will give up the chairmanship of her political party BSW.

🇮🇹 BSW's new chairman will be Fabio De Masi, former member of the left party who defected to the BSW in 2024 and is now a MEP in the EU parliament in Brussels.

🤡 The party will also officially be renamed from "Bündnis Sarah Wagenknecht" (BSW) to "Bündnis Soziale Gerechtigkeit und Wirtschaftliche Vernunft" (BSW). In English the new name means "Union for Social Justic and Economic common sense".


✍️ Wagenknecht herself will still retain an important position in the party as the head of some newly made up committee inside the party.

🥸 This comes amidst a stagnation in growth in both polling, membership and internal fighting of Wagenknecht's authoritarian and centralized leadership and is clearly an attempt to distance the party from the image of it just being a cult of personality for Sarah Wagenknecht
