👀 Reports of Israeli communities near the border with Lebanon fear another war with Hezbollah, saying they’ve received no compensation for 2024 losses and “can’t endure another round”

📈Around 74% of Israelis have returned to their evacuated homes in Northern Israeli, however due to severe economic losses and material damage, those communities are fragile and vulnerable as escalation on the border would send them fleeing again

🕯In contrast, the percentage of returnees on the Lebanese side is much lower; some villages are only back to 20% of their pre-war population while others remain completely abandoned and in ruins. The low rate of return is due to the fact that the IDF has so thorough destroyed the border towns that in many cases, there is nothing left to return to

And the few that do come back have to survive on their own with destroyed infrastructure and zero state support. If you’re lucky you might scrape enough money for a solar pannel or get help from charity organizations

🇺🇸🇺🇸 - California Governor Gavin Newsom visited Texas today/yesterday.

✍️ He held a speech in Houston and was joined by Texan democratic politicians. Newsom just a couple days ago managed to pass proposition 50 which was a direct response to Texas's redistricting efforts.

👀 Representative Al Green, who interrupted Trump's speech to Congress earlier this year, proudly proclaimed that Newsom will be the future US president.

🇺🇸 Newsom is expected to try and gain the Democratic nomination for the 2028 Presidential election as he has reached his term limit as California Governor and has said he's open to the possibility but it's too early to say for certain.

📊 Even though it's only 2025 many in the democrats are seemingly already preparing for the primaries and trying to build momentum. Current favorites are Newsom and Kamala, who already semi-confirmed that she will try to get the nomination again via not running for California governor

🇺🇸 - Cuomo VS JFK's Grandson?

✍️ Andrew Cuomo who just lost the NYC mayoral election is allegedly considering to try and run for the House seat of Jerry Nadler. Nadler is retiring and so his seat in Manhattan will open up.

👀 However he is not alone, it's expected that president John Fitzgerald Kennedy's only grandson Jack Schlossberg will announce next week that he's running for the same house seat.

💸 He talked about how everyone tried to bribe him to drop out and endorse Cuomo

☄️ He also mentioned that despite Trump, Elon, his own party and everyone else being against him he was determined to keep running

🇺🇸 He semi-blamed the Republican party for:
1. Being defeatist in New York
2. Betraying their values, principles and morals by endorsing Cuomo who clearly did not align with said values

⚠️ He doesn't believe Mamdani will be able to achieve most of his promises and is attacking Trump so harshly to provoke him so he later has an excuse when he fails

🗣 Trump is willingly taking the bait because, according to Sliwa, they both don't care and the people who will suffer are New Yorkers. Both will simply use the other as a scape goat.
