🤡 No Mamdani is not instituting a tax against white people as the NYP likes to frame it as.

👀 I have looked at the document the NYP based Their various slander articles on, Mamdanis official Homeowner Policy Memo.

⁉️ Mamdani's campaign correctly points out that so far in New York the poorer outer boroughs, which are majority non-white, have been over taxed. Especially when you compare them to the rich neighborhoods, which are majority white.

💬 The reason the poorer neighborhoods are getting overtaxed while the richer one's are getting "undertaxed" ?

💵 The New York business elite have purposely lobbied the various corrupt administrations over the years to keep taxes low where said New York Business elite are living. But since NYC still needs to tax someone the poorer neighborhoods were disproportionately overtaxed in return.

📈📉 Mamdani is proposing shifting the tax burdens from the poor working class neighborhoods onto the wealthy NYC elite neighborhoods. Yes the poorer neighborhoods are majority non-white and the richer neighborhoods are majority white.

⚠️ However for it to count as a white people tax as the NYP is portraying it as ALL white people regardless of where they live should be taxed more, which is simply not the case. White people who live in poorer neighborhoods will also have their tax burdens decreased despite being white, while non-white people who live in wealthier neighborhoods will have their taxes increased despite NOT being white.

👎 The NYP is framing the new tax proposed by Mamdani as a racially based issue, while it clearly is not. It's about wealth, not race.

📣 The NYP, which is owned by conservative media mogul and business magnate Rupert Murdoch, is simply trying to use fake culture war nonsense to distract from the real message.
