The party would then rebrand to Die Linke (the left) and my god did wagenknecht had some stuff to say during her time there.

-She for example denied stalins and soviet crimes, played them down, refused to mourn the victims of Stalinist/soviet/russian oppression

-She said we need a socialistic nationalism

-She literally said that the GDR was too soft and should have been more brutal and should have oppressed its people more, it was not authoritarian enough

-She said the iron curtain was not iron enough, it should have oppressed people more and should have been more brutal

Generally she has had very very weird takes all around, saying the regime that oppressed her should have been more brutal in doing so.

She does not give a fuck about other people, she wants to see the west, europe and germans suffer, but why?

Who knows, shes a hardcore stalinist and an example for most things that are wrong with the german left, especially since she was a popular member of Die Linke for so long.

But i think it also has to do with her father, she fully blames the west for his death and ever since she takes every opportunity to hurt the west, including ofc, simping for russia and acting as one of its arms, ears and eyes in the hearth of europe.

Luckily, aside from being kinda fuckable shes a retarted politician who never had success with any political project she started or was part of, and aside from some mentally ill boomers, leftist and some right wing ziggers and ex stasi members who see the GDR as the pinnacle of german history she doesnt have alot of supporters.

Shes, like any tankie/stalinist/zigger a destroyer and a creator and advocate of misery, poverty, hate and HIV

Insiders in her party report that she's constantly clashing with her subordinates because she doesn't actually want them to do what they are supposed to do because it would divert all the attention from her.

Everything is about her and only her, her husband also looks absolutely miserable each time they're seen together.

She's basically building her cult of personality by combining conservative social policies with leftist economic policies which she hopes will attract disgruntled former East German boomers
