⚡️🇰🇵🇰🇷 A North Korean soldier defected to South Korea on Sunday by crossing the heavily fortified Demilitarized Zone, Seoul’s military said. South Korean guards monitoring the area detained the soldier, who will face an investigation over his defection.
Such crossings are rare, as most North Korean escapees flee through China or third countries. It marks the first soldier defection to the South since August 2024.

🇩🇪 Drones time: Before the Shaheds filled the skies, Germany had already drawn the blueprint. Back in the 1980s, Dornier created the DAR (Die Drohne Antiradar) a Cold War project that quietly revolutionized drone warfare long before anyone realized it.
This small truck-launched anti-radar kamikaze drone could find and destroy enemy radars, navigate by GPS, and loiter for hours before striking. It was powered by a German two-stroke boxer engine and could travel hundreds of kilometers, all decades ahead of its time.
When the Cold War ended, the DAR was shelved. But israelis picked up the concept for its Harpy drones (probably promised to them 3000 years ago) and later, Iran themselves copied the Harpy design to create the Shahed-136.

IDF claims to have spent over 120 various air to ground munitions, targeting a HAMAS tunnel stretching up to 5 kilometers, most of them with heavy munitions from the 2,000 pound range, dropped by F-15s & F-16s, with targeting info transmitted by Eitan & Hermes drones.
Interestingly the IDF demolished the tunnel was previously used to host Israeli captives, convenient timing if you'd ask me.
