🇷🇺🇲🇩Fuel shortages have begun in Moldova, one of the reasons being Ukraine's strikes against Russia, according to Deutsche Welle.

At "Lukoil" gas stations in the center of Chisinau, you can currently only refuel with gas and A-95 gasoline.

There is no diesel fuel available, nor is it available at 65 other gas stations in the country. At a Petrom station in the capital, it is available, but sales are limited to the capacity of the vehicle's fuel tank.

Prices have risen to record levels, and delivery times have reached 5-7 days.

At an emergency cabinet meeting, Prime Minister Vasile Tofan explained that due to the Ukrainian Armed Forces' strikes on Novorossiysk, the supply of Kazakh oil to the Romanian Petromidia refinery has been restricted.

Moldova imports all aviation fuel, approximately 99% of gasoline, 70% of diesel fuel, and 70% of liquefied gas from Romania.

Additional pressure is being exerted by the war between the United States and Israel against Iran, as well as restrictions on the Danube and Dniester rivers.

Why not go faster—or beyond 2,000?

Because the PAC-3 MSE is not a commercial product Lockheed Martin can just mass-produce on its own. The U.S. Army sets the requirements and production levels, the Pentagon awards the contracts, and Congress must approve the funding. The company can only expand factories, equipment, staff, and suppliers once the government commits to steady, long-term demand.

Even this threefold increase still depends on Washington actually funding what it has ordered.
