Russia struck the civilian bulk carrier GOLDEN LEO with three Kh-59/Kh-69 cruise missiles as it left the combat zone carrying grain. The Guinea-Bissau-flagged, Turkish-owned vessel was hit near the starboard side of the superstructure and caught fire. Five people were killed, five crew members remain missing, and eight were evacuated to a hospital in Odesa. Ukrainian Navy and maritime rescue units joined the response.

Known US spend is now roughly $547m:
• Lot 1: $208m

MALD is an air-launched decoy used to confuse and soak up enemy air defences.

Now NorthStar Maritime Dismantlement Services will cut up, recycle and dispose of the ship.
The funny part: this is about $118m less than the earlier $536m award.
Enterprise was decommissioned in 2017.

The timing is beautiful:

• net profit almost doubled to 838m CZK
• operating profit above 1bn CZK
• Europe is desperate for ammunition inputs

On 16 July, Syria announced the seizure of a weapons shipment hidden inside an Iraqi oil tanker at the al-Tanf border crossing.
The cargo reportedly included:

One day later, on 17 July, Iran claimed an IRGC strike near al-Tanf.
Officially, Tehran said it was targeting a “US command centre.”
