🇺🇸— Kelly Giles, Chairman of the Randall County Republican Party, pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of attempted election fraud, a Class B misdemeanor. He was originally charged with election fraud, which is a felony.

Giles received deferred adjudication and was sentenced to six months probation. He was also fined $2,000 and ordered to perform 25 hours of community service.

Giles "falsely certified on the Texas Candidate Filing System that his application and nomination petition were legally compliant for place on the 2024 Republican Primary Ballot for Randall County Republican Party Chair."

🇺🇸🇮🇷— According to Axios, U.S. and Iranian negotiators have agreed on a 60-day memorandum to extend the ceasefire and open talks on Iran’s nuclear program, but President Trump has not yet given final approval.

Part of this deal would guarantee unrestricted shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, lift the U.S. naval blockade in stages, and open talks on Iran’s highly enriched uranium, enrichment activity, sanctions relief and frozen funds.
