During one of the assaults, nine Russians approached the position. Serhiy took out two of them at point-blank range. He eliminated the other seven in coordination with his comrades.
Rotation was nearly impossible for a long time: enemy drones blocked the approaches. At the same time, losing the position was out of the question. The stability of the neighboring lines depended on it.
“At first, I piled the enemy’s bodies near the position. Then there were too many—I started burying them. So the enemy wouldn’t figure out where I was based on the accumulation of their dead,” Serhiy said.

🇷🇺🇩🇪There's a reason most of the world marks the defeat of Nazi Germany on May 8 while Russia insists on May 9, and it's a piece of history the Kremlin would rather people forget.
The last major battle against the Germans took place in Prague from May 6 to May 8, 1945. The Soviet Army didn't win it. The 1st Division of General Vlasov's Russian Liberation Army did.
When Czech resistance fighters rose up and called for help, Vlasov's men turned their guns on the Germans they had until recently been allied with. The large German garrison holding Prague, by then one of the last significant concentrations of Wehrmacht forces anywhere, surrendered to one of Vlasov's commanders, General Bunyachenko.

🇮🇳In India, doctors saved a young man whose skull had been pierced by a machete, with the blade penetrating his brain by about 4 centimeters.
The most incredible part is that after being injured, he walked to the hospital on his own, stood in the general queue, and calmly scrolled through his phone while waiting for help.
Surgeons successfully removed the blade. The patient is in stable condition and is now on the mend.
I guess none of the organs he uses were damaged...

The frontal lobes in particular can sustain surprising amounts of damage without obvious immediate symptoms in motor function, speech, or consciousness.
The famous Phineas Gage case in 1848 involved an iron rod going completely through his skull, and he was talking and walking minutes later.
