The shortages coincided with a Pertamina (persero) price jumps from yesterday for several non-subsidised fuel products — just four days after supply disruptions began. The timing has brought pressure on consumers already facing constrained access to fuel.

The supply gaps and the price increase risks bring heightened distribution stress across Riau and later larger parts of Indonesia if restocking is continuously delayed or prices continue to climb.
