The assailant waited for the military officer near the apartment complex where he lives, pretending to repair a bicycle. At the moment of the attack, he threw the bicycle under the wheels of a car and attempted to open fire, but was apprehended at the scene.

It is currently unknown how many, or who has purchased the interceptors, although it is disclosed that $4.49 billion of the contract is coming from foreign military sales. A similar value contract was approved in 2024, for the sale of 600 PAC-3 MSE missiles for $5 Billion, meaning the quantity of missiles sold will be in a similar range.
