The downing itself isn't a big deal, A-10s are due to be retired by 2029 and the pilot has survived. But interestingly enough, the downing has occured outside Iranian airspace, meaning that Iran still possesses some of the long-range SAMs.

🇺🇦🇱🇾 Ukraine killed a Russian general off the coast of Libya in December, according to RFI

One of the publication’s sources reported that at the time of the attack on the tanker Qendil last December, there were about ten high-ranking Russian intelligence officers on board, disguised as sailors.

Libyan sources speaking to RFI claim that two people were killed and seven wounded in the strike. Among the dead was Andrei Averyanov, a high-ranking representative of Russian intelligence.

Distance of Ahvaz from the coast is around 150 kilometers, if we consider Ahvaz a coastal city, all of Israeli, Lebanese or Kuwaiti cities would be also coastal in my opinion.
