⚡️🇺🇸🇨🇺🇷🇺NYT: The U.S. has allowed a Russian oil tanker to reach Cuba, easing pressure from a de facto blockade that had left the island facing a severe energy crisis.
The U.S. Coast Guard did not intercept the sanctioned vessel as it approached Cuban waters, in a move seen as avoiding escalation with Russia while permitting urgently needed fuel to reach the country.
The tanker, carrying hundreds of thousands of barrels of crude, is expected to dock at the port of Matanzas, potentially providing temporary relief after weeks of shortages and widespread power outages.

Hartmut Ebbing, former member of the Bundestag for the FDP and treasurer of the Deutsch-Israelische Gesellschaft (DIG) (German Israeli friendship society) for the past two years was caught possessing and distributing child sexual abuse material.
Upon his court case in Berlin Ebbing requested that the court would handle his case via a penal order so without a public courtroom trial.
The reason? As a representative of the German Israeli Friendship Society it would cause significant harm to the reputation of Israel and the DIG in Germany if he was to be found guilty. He said protecting the Israeli reputation was especially important due to the post October 7th shift in opinion of Israel in Germany.
The worst part? The court agreed. He only got sentenced to 10 months suspended probation without a public trial. Which basically meant he would not have to go to prison and basically get away with it Scott free.
However during the investigation for the Berlin case evidence was discovered which alleged Ebbing had sexually abused a 7 year old boy.
So he had to appear before the Braunschweig court which found him guilty of the crime and sencted him to 2 years and 10 months in prison. Which is only a bit over the minimum sentence for the crime and well below the maximum of 15 years.
The Braunschweig court even commented on the Berlin courts handling of the case by saying what they did was very generous to him.

The tanks and soldiers that occupied the Kyiv suburbs crossed the border directly from Belarusian territory. Lukashenko provided the front door. Without the Belarusian rail lines, fuel, and the short road to the Ukrainian capital, the siege of Kyiv and the massacres in Bucha and Irpin that followed would have been physically impossible.

Businesses are being integrated into the air defense system. One company has already formed its own unit and intercepted several enemy drones in the Kharkiv region, including Shahed and Zala.
Private air defense units are fully integrated into the Air Force command system and operate alongside the military.
More intercepted targets, faster response. Great initiative, I am pretty happy, but it took too long for the Government to implement this. But better late than never. Moving somewhere.

Relatives complain that the cemetery lacks proper drainage, the road was built improperly, and the soil is constantly being washed away.
The year 2025 was declared the “Year of the Defender of the Fatherland” in Russia, and this is what the attitude toward these “defenders” looks like. Nobody cares about them the minute they die. The graves are knee deep underwater.
