🇮🇷🇺🇸So guys, there have been reports about ground operation on Kharg Island, what do you think?
A landing on Kharg... the US will likely pull it off no problem. There aren’t many scenarios where the initial assault fails. Small isolated Iranian FPV drone teams will be a pain in the ass, but not a decisive military force. It’s unclear how much experience or adaptation Iran has developed with FPV tactics (close to none).
But holding it is a completely different story. You will need to dig in hard to survive constant drone and missile strikes from the mainland. Iran will definitely respond. This could turn into a much tougher situation than it looks at first. Iranians will do everything they can to inflict maximum casualties on US forces both on the ships at sea, and especially once ground troops are anywhere in their sovereign territory.
The US could disrupt Iran’s oil exports without actually occupying the island, though even if the island is taken, it doesn’t guarantee control of the Strait.

But what is the actual end goal here? Economic paralysis of Iran?
To me, this looks more like a narcissitic Trump PR move than a clear strategy.
If the goal is to disrupt oil exports, you don’t need to occupy Kharg. It’s a fixed and exposed target- you can hit the infrastructure or make shipping too risky without putting troops on the island.
Occupying it just adds risk and unnecessary volume of caskets sent back home.
Dear experts guide me through this logic

🇱🇧🇮🇱FPV drones (including fiber-optic ones) belonging to Hezbollah.
Their use has been documented, but only sporadically and not on a large scale.
It is known that Russia trained and prepared FPV drone pilots for the Assad regime’s army in 2024. Hezbollah militants were also trained by Russian instructors there in Syria. Didn't help Assad much. Hezbollah is not utilising the potential of FPVs to the full extent either.

Bold of you to assume there's an end goal and not just a geriatric lashing out impulsively because the son of satan told him the ayatollah called him gay

If you think the guy had a large amount of offices then that's nothing
Most of the senior junta generals hold multiple offices and delegate all the work to their subordinates
MAL held 6 positions simultaneously at one point being:
1. Commander in Chief of the Defence Services
2. Acting President
3. Prime minister
4. Chairman of the SAC
5. Chairman of the NSDC
6. Chairman of the MEHL
Now MAL is seeking to take the office of just president and leave the rest to loyal subordinates
Overall the Junta and Tatmadaw are both completely nonsensical and highly inefficient from an administrative standpoint and it's a wonder how they even function
