I am among those who believe the UAE is the one currently bombing Oman and that they also took part in a covert drone bombing of Saudi Arabia.

My point: Obviously Iran isn’t interested in targeting Oman, which is so far very neutral when it comes to the ME and all its bullshit, but the UAE might be more interested in putting Oman into hardship.

I have said in the past that the UAE's main goal was to build a thalassocratic empire, a new Delian League, by controlling coastlines directly or via proxies; with the recent failure of their agenda in Yemen, the UAE might try to directly invade Oman at some point in the future to gain access to the Indian Ocean directly but as to weaken it economically first.

As for Saudi Arabia, I also believe the UAE is seizing the occasion to bomb them as retribution for the event in Yemen and also because at some point they both are bound to go to war against one another; it's the Thucydides trap.
