🇭🇺🇺🇦Ukraine’s state bank says its cash convoy was seized by Hungarian Authorities
Ukraine’s state-owned Oschadbank says two of its armored cash-in-transit vehicles were detained in Hungary on March 5 while transporting funds from Raiffeisen Bank in Austria to Ukraine.
Seven bank security staff were accompanying the convoy. GPS signals show the vehicles are currently in central Budapest near a Hungarian security facility. Ukrainian diplomats say they have confirmed the location, but the whereabouts of the staff are still unknown.
The shipment reportedly included $40M, €35M and 9 kg of gold.
