Today five years ago, on the 1st of February 2021, traitors within the Burmese military overthrew the democratically elected government after suffering a decisive election loss the year prior.

Since then it has been half a decade of war, nearly a hundred thousand dead, hundreds of political prisoners held in horrid conditions, countless burned villages, forced conscription of tens of thousands young men, economic collapse and so much more

The Fascist Military Junta has perpetrated countless inhumane acts of violence and cruelty upon those who can least defend themselves. Rapes, indiscriminate murder, looting, burnings of entire villages are all common practices of the Fascists.

All of this is aided by the Junta's allies abroad, most notably the regimes of Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping. Meanwhile the international community does what it does best, fuck all.

The Junta has by now lost large swaths of the country to a coalition of democratic rebels and ethnic armies. To compensate for this they staged an election that makes Azerbaijan look like a liberal democracy.

Openly Biased wishes the men and women fighting the spring revolution to rid their country of the Fascist Junta all the best.
