Lutnick previously claimed that he cut off ties around 2005 with Epstein after being revolted by him.

There is currently a standoff near Myawaddy in the Karen lands between the Junta and parts of the former Karen Border Guard Force who have cut ties with the Junta
I'm going to be honest with you, I honestly can't keep up with what's what in this situation as there is such a massive amount of different Karen organizations and a confusing back and forth in their status.
The situation as far as I can understand it is: The Karen BGF split off from the Junta a while ago, however after the Junta managed to regain control over Myawaddy from the rebels some former BGF members went back to the Junta(?). However others remained independent as the KNA, the leaders of those men that remained independent then declared the areas under them either fully independent or autonomous, the junta rejected this and gave them a deadline to disband and rejoin the junta
The deadline has not been met and now both sides are there not willing to make the first move, junta is sending more reinforcements to the area, including armed vehicles
We'll have to see how the situation develops.
