From Crisis to Clarity: Understanding the Metacrisis by Studio Dojo
Ever wonder why we keep throwing effort at the AI race, climate stalemates, or the exhaustion-inducing grind of school and work, and things still don't seem to improve? π§
This workshop session unpacks the difference between the permacrisis, polycrisis, and metacrisis as useful vocabulary for anyone trying to make sense of the worlds we live in.
Drawing on the work of people like Nate Hagens, Daniel Schmachtenberger, and Iain McGilchrist, they will look at the incentive structures, collective action problems and ways of thinking that keep reproducing collapse-adjacent patterns across totally different domainsπ€
They invite you to zoom out/within and look at why such patterns still hold even when everyone can see itβs not workingπ€
