From Crisis to Clarity: Understanding the Metacrisis by Studio Dojo

Ever wonder why we keep throwing effort at the AI race, climate stalemates, or the exhaustion-inducing grind of school and work, and things still don't seem to improve? πŸ§

This workshop session unpacks the difference between the permacrisis, polycrisis, and metacrisis as useful vocabulary for anyone trying to make sense of the worlds we live in.

Drawing on the work of people like Nate Hagens, Daniel Schmachtenberger, and Iain McGilchrist, they will look at the incentive structures, collective action problems and ways of thinking that keep reproducing collapse-adjacent patterns across totally different domains🀝

They invite you to zoom out/within and look at why such patterns still hold even when everyone can see it’s not workingπŸ€”

SQ21: Singapore Queer Families in the 21st Century Book Launch

How does the queer community navigate kinship and family?

Nearly two decades after the first book gave Singapore queer lives real names and real faces on the page, this new volume opens a new chapter on another deeply personal political topic: family.✨

A moving anthology of real Singaporean LGBTQ+ lives, SQ21 looks at the many ways queer people nurture, love and create families here: the families they are born into, the families they choose, and the families they build in a system that was not always built for themπŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ
