Thanks to everyone who joined us for the video AMA. In retrospect, and in complete alignment with the broader community, I only wish we would have done it sooner as it turned out great. Feel free to continue sending questions in via Telegram or Reddit and we will do our best to compile a broader FAQ/Q&A resource for folks to look at moving forward. In the weeks to come, we will try and get a more technical AMA in place that ropes in more of the development and management team.

Mainnet OPQ contract has been deployed! we're making our final preparations and waiting for communication from our exchange partner, Kucoin, to verify wallet information before distribution. It is coming very soon! Here is the contract:

Due to incomplete trie data on our geth nodes (initially started with fast sync), we have encountered delays in our snapshot and distribution. We're working with a commercial provider of nodes to have a full archive node booted for us within a few hours. I expect distribution to start within 6 to 12 hours. Apologies for the delay.

OPQ distribution is starting!

The distribution of OPQ is now complete! We still have a small handful of manual transfers to make and have yet to transfer OPQ to Cryptopia and CoinExchange as we continue to discuss next steps with each exchange.

KuCoin Completes Airdrop Distribution and List Opacity (OPQ)

We are happy to announce that users who held PRL tokens on KuCoin, based on a snapshot taken at block high 6,607,247, have been rewarded with an OPQ airdrop. The airdrop was distributed at a ratio of 1 PRL = 1 OPQ. To check your OPQ distribution, click on the Assets tab, then the Reward History tab.

KuCoin will list Opacity (OPQ) and support the trading pairs OPQ/BTC and OPQ/ETH.

Opacity is proud to announce the launch of our storage interface, now live at https://storage.opacity.io!

With this update, Opacity has enabled 250mb max file size upload, which matches or exceeds some free options from other well known storage providers. For example, Mega limits free users to a maximum file size of 200MB and Box max file size for a free personal account is 250MB.
Opacity will continue to make improvements to match features and functionality of other major storage providers, while maintaining your data privacy and anonymity.

@opacityrobot just got the teased update!

To use, just start a conversation with @opacityrobot and send it a file.

Paid uploads work now, including a QR code to scan if you want to pay from mobile. All the monospaced values (payment amount, address and the handle) can be tapped to copy straight to clipboard.

The bot also sports a new yet familiar logo.

The success message now also includes the alpha.opacity link. A matching redesign for the site will be going up later today, or early tomorrow.

The Opacity Whitepaper has arrived! The whitepaper describes the existing functionality of the Opacity Storage platform as it has evolved from the fork, currently known challenges and limitations the team is working through, and plans for future improvements that must be made to realize the full product vision.
