How is it possible that the species with the greatest intellectual capacity in history is destroying its only home?

Good night.β€οΈ
In a world where the most intelligent species can still forget how precious its only home is, I wish you the simple beauty of a true home tonight β a place of warmth, kindness, and peace.
Wherever you are, I hope you feel safe.
And I hope tomorrow we remember a little more how to care for this world and for each other. π

You have enormous power: if you change the frequency at which you vibrateβif you stop complaining, stop being negative, stop feeling sorry for yourself and playing the victimβyour life will change.
And not only your life: the world around you will change as well. It will be a concrete, tangible, real transformation.
When you are in the middle of it, it seems impossible. But I assure you that if you change, your reality changes too.
Many physicists, including Nobel Prize winners, have explained that we are the ones who create our own destiny. So this is not just about the law of attractionβ¦ we are talking about physicsβabout energy that changes.
The excuses you tell yourself have a very specific purpose. They exist because taking a step different from the steps you usually take would mean admitting to yourself that in the past you made mistakes. And above all, it would mean being willing to risk again.
But it does not matter if you fail. What matters is that you truly lived. A life lived through action and mistakes is always better than a life spent never acting for fear of making a mistake.

Eight Ways to Truly Live
π Watch
Watch closely. With the gaze of a wise fox, with the amber eyes of an owlβmissing nothing and no one. In this world everything can change in an instant. A single moment can take everything away, without return. Yet the same moment can place the whole world into the palm of your hand. So greet the dawns, see off the sunsets, and never allow yourself to overlook what truly matters. Look into the depths of your own soul. Look into the sky. Look into the eyes you love.
π Listen
Listenβto your heart. And sometimes to the calm voice of reason. Listen to the sounds beyond your window, to the quiet movement of life all around you. Listen to music. To the delicate whirl of falling snow, to beautiful and unfamiliar languages, to the gentle purring of a catβ¦ Listen even to stillness, because within it lives a sense of infinity. Listenβand truly hear.
π Breathe
Breathe deeply. Fully. Take in the scent of snow dissolving in the air, settling softly in your lungs with a faint trace of sadness that, whether you wish it or not, will one day wrap itself around you for a while and then pass. Breathe as if the air itself carries the presence of someone dear to you.
π Believe
Believe in your choices. Believe in your star. Believe in the quiet meaning behind chance encounters. Believe in your own strengthβeven when your hands fall in weariness, even when the world seems to stand against you, even when everything appears lost. Believe, and wait for the hand that may reach out to you from the darkness of the impossible. Believe in meetings that change a life forever. Believe that almost everything can be mendedβat the right moment, with clear thoughts and an open heart. Believe in justice.
π Love
Because to know how to love is to know how to live. Love him. Love yourself. Love the whole world that stretches between you. Love creativity, art, the sound of music and the voices of nature. Love your guardian angel. Love your friends. Love life without dividing it into βwhat I want to doβ and βwhat I must do.β Love surprises, unexpected turns, and even the simple rhythm of everyday life.
π Give
Give without asking for anything in return. Offer a little more than you receive. Share your passion, your discoveries, your energy. Share your confidence. Give gifts, smiles, honesty⦠and kisses.
π Feel
Do not live in half-tonesβlive in the full colors of existence. And if there are shades between them, let them be the rich gradations of life itself. Feel your living body. Your immortal soul. The ground beneath your feet and the wings behind your back. Even painβbecause pain reminds us that we are still alive.
π Understand
Understand yourself and the world around you. Know that loneliness is not the same as freedom. That the current of life may carry you somewhere you never expected. That some things can only be reached by resisting what seems like fate. That birth is the first step toward deathβ¦ and that death is not an ending, but another beginning. Learn to recognize hidden meanings, quiet hints, and deeper truthsβbecause within them the essence of life is often concealed.

"When the plane started to fall, I didnβt think about work or moneyβ¦ I thought about my children and all the things I had never told them."
It was an ordinary day. US Airways Flight 1549, from New York to North Carolina. During takeoff, a flock of birds struck the engines. The plane lost power. In less than three minutes, the pilot said, βBrace for impact.β I felt the air freeze.
People were screaming. The Hudson awaited us like a frozen tombstone. Quietly, I said goodbye⦠and prepared for the worst.
Miraculously, the plane landed on the water. But that wasnβt the end. I was sitting in the last row. The icy water was rising fast. I let others go ahead, making sure no one would be left behind. When I finally got out, I jumped onto a life raft and knew I had been born anew.
After the accident, I was no longer the same person. I began holding meetings and giving talks around the world. Not for fameβbut because I understood: life promises nothing. I survived for a reason. And that reason is to help others awaken before their own βplaneβ begins to fall. You donβt need a disaster to realize what truly matters.
"Donβt wait for the last minute to appreciate your whole life. Time doesnβt warnβbut it teaches."

The Will:
The Will is not a common virtue.
It is not motivation, it is not enthusiasm, it is not the impulse that is born and dies in a morning of the waning moon.
It is pure inner Fire, which few know how to ignite and even fewer know how to sustain.
The majority walks, speaks, desires⦠but does not will.
They live in a sequence of automatisms, conditioned reactions, and induced needs.
They call all of this βlife,β but in truth it is only subsistence: merely mechanical movements.
Authentic Will is a magical act. It is what the ancients called βTrue Will,β
not the whim of the ego, but the deep direction of Being in conscious form.
Whoever does not possess Will is possessed.
Unknowingly, they are dominated by habits, by fears, by the opinions of others; in a word, they are possessed by inertia.
It is like in the myth of the cave of Plato:
many observe shadows and mistake them for reality; few have the strength to break their chains and turn their gaze toward the ascent. And that gesture requires a radical decision.
Will is for the few because it requires sacrifice.
It requires solitude; it requires inner discipline. It is not shouting βI can do it.β
It is being silent and acting.
It is choosing every day against the current of oneβs own resistances.
For those who understand, Will is the sword that separates the real from the illusory.
Without it, a person is a leaf in the wind of the world; but with True Will they become the axis of their own destiny.
The majority seeks comfort.
Those who possess True Will seek transformation.
And to transform means to die to what one was in order to become what one is.
Few accept this death, and even fewer choose the Fire.
A long time ago someone told me:
βEduardo, True Will is the Fire that does not ask for consent.
It is the Flame that does not seek applause and burns in silenceβor it does not burn at all.
Whoever does not possess this force is matter shaped by invisible currents,
a shadow that believes itself to be a body.β
So I ask you:
and you?
Are you living, or are you merely subsisting?
