📈 Workshop on Earnings-Based Trading Strategy Using Bloomberg Terminal.
As part of the Global Trading Challenge (GTC) preparation program, a workshop was held for participants focused on building an earnings-based trading strategy and learning how to use TMSG on the Bloomberg Terminal.
The session introduced students to the idea of Post-Earnings Announcement Drift (PEAD) — how company results, guidance, analyst recommendations, and technical indicators can influence short-term stock movements. Participants practiced using different functions to access and interpret earnings data, analyze price reactions, and evaluate key performance metrics directly within Bloomberg Terminal.
The workshop aimed to help students approach trading decisions through structured, data-driven analysis rather than speculation.

Please be aware that Bloomberg imposes a monthly data extraction limit when downloading data to Excel or using the API. This limit is not fixed — it is managed by Bloomberg’s internal system, which takes into account several factors such as:
- the amount and type of data being downloaded,
- the frequency and scale of exports, and
- any automated or periodic downloads.
If you see the #N/A Review error, it usually means your workflow triggered this data download limit (for example, by attempting large or repeated bulk downloads). The good news is that this limit resets automatically at the beginning of each calendar month.
To avoid disruption, we recommend:
- Downloading data in smaller batches.
- Avoiding frequent automated refreshes or mass exports.
- Checking your spreadsheets for unnecessary or repeated API calls.
