Another billion USDT enters circulation
Today, Tether has issued 1B USDT on the Tron network. Over the past 25 days, the total USDT issuance has surged to $8 billion:
– $6 billion on Ethereum
– $2 billion on Tron
During this same timeframe, Bitcoin experienced a 17% increase, from $105K to a new all-time high of $123K.
While new issuance doesn't instantly translate to market liquidity, historical trends suggest that an increase in USDT supply often correlates with rising cryptocurrency prices.
Current stablecoin market caps:
– USDT: $163.5B
– USDC: $64.2B
