🇵🇸 A clandestine group calling itself the "Sons of Abu Jandal" and made up of individuals from the Palestinian Authority's security services announced in a press release that "President Abbas has 24 hours to announce a global confrontation with the occupation or there will be a rebellion within the Palestinian Authority's security services".

🇵🇸 “They tortured us, subjected us to electric shocks. We suffered a lot.”

Some 60 Palestinian men detained by Israeli forces returned to Gaza on Monday, entering the territory through the recently opened Kerem Shalom crossing.

All of the men said they were tortured in an unspecified facility in southern Israel. One of the released detainees said that many of them were employees of the Palestinian Authority.

🇵🇸 “We are now going to enter a long period of concentrated effort in enforcement and #demolitions. We are going to return the situation to the way it was.”

Israel's far-right Finance Minister, Bezalel Smotrich, has launched a campaign to demolish structures and expel Palestinians from ‘Area B’ of the West Bank.

Smotrich, who heads a pro-settler party and is himself a settler, accused the Palestinian Authority of investing significant resources to create territorial contiguity in the region, which he claims threatens Israeli control and causes environmental damage.

Under the 1993 #OsloAccords, it was agreed that the area Smotrich is referring to would be controlled by the Palestinian Authority (#PA).
