In Kwara State, Nigeria, the Federal Government in collaboration with the local state government has ranked up security in the region to secure order. This come after the same area faced attacks by violent Nigerian bandits in November, which left at least two people dead and several kidnapped, including a pastor.

According to Kaduna State Police Commissioner Muhammad Rabiu, he has stated that these reports regarding the abduction of Nigerian Christians are "rumors." Keep in mind that Nigerian police officials are not always trustworthy, due to their reputation of corruption and accepting bribes to look the other way

The Chairman brings up a strong point regarding the abysmal state of our supposed "protectors" in Nigeria. The police, who we trust to protect the vulnerable, instead of taking responsibility for these horrific events, attempt to victim blame and slander those who they are supposed to protect. They might as well have embraced the terrorists with open arms if this is how they choose to treat suffering Christians looking for protection. Christians all over should unite and confide in their neighbors for the sake of their families and friends. If the government and police will not take accountability and protect the weak, WE WILL.
