🗓 Today Marks the 4th Anniversary of Abuja Mass shooting of members of the Islamic movement in Nigeria 🇳🇬 by a team of Nigeria Police Force, Nigerian Army and DSS at Federal Secretariat Abuja, during a peaceful demonstration demanding freedom of Sheikh #Zakzaky from illegal detention.
💢 More than ten members of Islamic Movement were killed on that fateful day in 2019. But only six bodies were recovered from the police till date. More than 50 people were arrested on the spot, most of whom are still in illegal detention in kuje prison these past four years.
💢 An Assistant Commissioner of Police, believed to be sympathetic towards the protesters, was also shot by the police from behind. Also shot was a journalist on duty reporting for Channels Television.
