โImam Hussain (AS) achieved a revolution, proving that blood is indeed mightier than the sword; it is the triumph of blood over the sword. Yazid's forces applied violence, but this quickly led to their downfall. Imam Hussain (AS) prayed against them, declaring that Allah would avenge them. A certain man named Ibn Numair asked the Imam, "How can Allah avenge you, O son of Fatima?" The Imam replied, "Allah will pit you against each other, He will disunite you, He will never grant you trustworthy leaders, and lastly, He will severely chastise you."
