💢 Sitrep on the Liman front as of 13.00 on May 20, 2022

In the last week, the offensive on Liman has stalled. The difficulty is due both to the deployment of firing positions of Ukraine, on the chalk mountains and hills on the southern bank of the Seversky Donets, as well as fierce battles in the forests.

The day before, the national battalions blew up the dam and completely disabled the communication between Raygorodok and Liman in order to prevent a Ukrainian withdraw from Liman. Up to a thousand servicemen remain in the city and its environs. The only corridor through which Ukrainians can exit is located south of Brusovka, which also is under the fire control of the allied forces.

Ukraine is fixed on the southern edge and erect fortifications. In the Svyatogorsk area, positions have been set up in the Svyatogorsk Lavra, which at the same time has turned into a shelter for refugees.

💭Statements by Russia's Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya:

The largest boiler is being created in Lisichansk - there the catch can significantly beat the record of Azovstal. Nearly 10,000 Ukrainian soldiers will be surrounded in this cauldron.
