💢Iran announces new rules for Strait of Hormuz transit

Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Navy says a new order is now in effect in the Strait of Hormuz following the Lebanon ceasefire and the current battlefield pause.

Under the new rules:

🔹 Civilian vessels may transit only through routes designated by Iran

🔹 All military ships remain banned from passing through the Strait

🔹 Any movement must be approved by the IRGC Navy and coordinated with Iranian authorities

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei said Tehran remains the “guardian of the Strait of Hormuz” and will show “no leniency” in defending Iran’s interests.

He also warned that if the other side violates its commitments or if the US naval blockade continues, Iran will take retaliatory measures, calling the blockade a breach of the ceasefire.

US President Donald Trump said the process of declassifying government files on UFOs and unexplained aerial phenomena is “well underway.”

He said officials had found “many very interesting documents” and that the first releases would begin “very, very soon.”

💢 US issues license allowing limited transactions for Russian oil shipments — Treasury

The US Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control has issued General License 134B authorizing transactions related to the sale, delivery, and offloading of Russian-origin crude oil and petroleum products loaded onto vessels as of April 17, 2026.

🔹 The authorization remains in effect until May 16, 2026, and covers activities “ordinarily incident and necessary” to these operations, including docking, insurance, crew safety, and related services, according to the document.

The license replaces and supersedes the previous General License 134A, extending the timeframe for handling already-loaded shipments.

🔹 On April 15, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said the US would NOT renew the general license on Russian oil.

🔹 US policy has changed again.
