Azov also seems to have made passive threats on some of these Radio Liberty/Radio Free Europe/etc. livestreams, wherein they say that they are a symbol of how Ukraine views the entire Ukrainian armed forces and the prospects of this conflict.

That by allowing them to surrender, they surrender as a country.

And there is a point here. This 'acceptable' outcome.

Are we seeing the shape of things to come? Is this what happens when the Russian campaign succeeds, Ukraine's "allies and friends" declare some kind of victory also?

The only real operational concern is whether this coping mechanism can be weaponised into a delay of arriving at a peaceful settlement.
