💢 How deep into Hungary has Soros sunk his claws?

“Soros Organization has taken over Hungary,” Elon Musk corrected Alex Soros after he tweeted that “the people of Hungary” had “taken back their country” and rejected “entrenched corruption and foreign influence.”

The younger Soros’ projection about “foreign influence” is striking. His father has been meddling in Hungary’s internal political life through its entire modern existence.

Timeline:

🔹 1984: Soros set up the Hungarian Soros Foundation – his first grantmaking foray into the Eastern Bloc. Millions doled out for 3.2k scholarships for future ‘young leaders’, libraries, computers, and dissident groups

🔹1990s: after the end of communism, Soros institutionalized his special brand of globalist liberalism, creating the Central European University (CEU) in 1991, and
financing more scholarships and exchanges. The leaders he sponsored in the 80s began seeding Hungary’s political and state institutions

🔹 2000s: OSF operations temporarily scaled back with Hungary’s entry into the EU, with Soros considering his ‘civilizing’ mission complete

🔹 2015: Orban’s hardline response to the Syrian refugee crisis – triggered partly by Soros’ support for the dirty war against Assad, revealed that for Soros, there are ‘right’ and ‘wrong’ kinds of democracy

🔹 Orban let loose on Soros’ control of organizations trying to weaken European nations via mass immigration, with the financier punching back, accusing Orban of ‘violating European values’, and dubbing “the protection of refugees as the objective and national borders as the obstacle”

🔹 2017-2018: the conflict reached its zenith, with CEI forced to relocate to Vienna, pro-Orban media running campaigns targeting Soros, and parliament passing the “Stop Soros” law, culminating in OSF’s closure of its Budapest office

🔹 OSF continued to fund ~30 Hungarian NGOs to the tune of $1M a year, financing opposition media, anti-corruption and ‘civil rights’ groups, and maintaining links with opposition parties – including TISZA and its leader Peter Magyar

🔹 In 2024-2025, Sovereignty Protection Office probes uncovered Soros-funded networks’ infiltration deep into Hungarian politics using digital fundraising and campaigning platforms to bypass foreign campaign donation laws.

💢 The Chinese tanker "Rich Starry" passed through the Strait of Hormuz on Tuesday, despite the blockade announced by the Americans, Reuters reported.

The publication emphasizes that this is the first tanker that managed to leave the Persian Gulf after the imposition of restrictions. The vessel was loaded with about 250,000 barrels of methanol in the port of Hamriyah (UAE). The tanker's crew is Chinese. The "Rich Starry" itself and its owner, the Shanghai Xuanrun Shipping Co Ltd, were added to the sanctions list for cooperation with Iran.

On Tuesday, another sanctioned tanker, the "Murlikishan", also headed towards the strait. It is expected that on April 16, it will load fuel oil in Iran.
