Infamous and horrifying Phili abortionist died in prison

Kermit Gosnell, the former Philadelphia abortionist convicted of first-degree murder in the brutal killings of three infants born alive during illegal late-term abortions at his notorious “house of horrors” clinic, has died in prison. He was 85.

Gosnell, who was serving three consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole plus an additional 30 years on federal drug charges, died at SCI Huntingdon, according to sources familiar with the matter.

His cause of death was not immediately released, though he had reportedly been in declining health in recent years.

Gosnell operated an abortion facility in West Philadelphia for decades. Investigators later referred to it as a “House of Horrors.” During trial in 2013, five long weeks of testimony revealed the truth of these horrors:

Babies were born alive and then killed by having their spinal cords severed.
Women were sedated, injured, and abandoned without proper care.
Fetal remains were stored in jars and freezers.
Filthy conditions, expired drugs, and broken equipment were rampant.

One particularly terrifying quote heard during testimony: “The standard practice here was to slay babies.”

While it is a blessing that these crimes were uncovered, they were done so by chance, mostly by accident. during a 2010 FBI raid for illegal drug use. A grand jury later found that state regulators had stopped inspecting abortion clinics for years, which allowed Gosnell's practices to continue.

In the aftermath, Pennsylvania Family Institute worked to bring awareness to these atrocities and fight for more protection and accountability.

3801 Lancaster: American Tragedy, which tells the story through real testimony, courtroom footage, and interviews, including hearing from Gosnell himself.

Gosnell was convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison. His death doesn't erase the death he caused, but it reminds us what happens when we ignore human dignity.

💢 German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius visited Yokosuka to meet with Japanese Defense Minister Shigeru Koizumi and proposed a Mutual Access Agreement between the two countries.

The agreement aims to simplify legal and administrative processes for sending military personnel between Germany and Japan for training, exercises, and possible operations. The ministers highlighted common security concerns, including the ongoing war in Ukraine, growing tensions with China and North Korea, and instability in the Middle East, which threatens vital sea routes such as the Strait of Hormuz.

Japan already maintains similar agreements with the US, UK, and Australia. Prime Minister Sanae Takahito prioritizes strengthening defense, although this proposal has sparked protests from pacifist groups concerned about Japan's post-war military stance.

The Bentley Center in Kyiv took third place in Europe in the brand's annual "Best of the Best" award, losing only to Padua in Italy and Rotterdam in the Netherlands.

Every year, more and more new cars are being purchased in Ukraine. Over the three full years of the war, the market has grown by more than twofold.

In the first five months of 2025, 131 luxury tax-eligible cars were imported into the country, which is 42% more than in 2021, before the start of the war. Two-thirds of them were Porsches. Other luxury models on the list include Bentley, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Rolls-Royce, McLaren, and Aston Martin. A new Bentley in Ukraine costs between 16.5 and 17.6 million Ukrainian hryvnias (about $400,000 to $420,000).
