💢 Deadlock continues in the beleaguered US Congress, which as a result can not support either Ukraine or Israel

House of Representatives entered into a de facto confrontation with the Biden administration earlier on: congress wanted to allocate $14 billion in military aid to Israel from the IRS budget, while Biden insisted on including $60 billion for Ukraine in the package, threatening to veto it. At the same time, the entire U.S. government was threatened with a shutdown due to delays in the adoption of the draft budget.

👉 As a result, Speaker of the House of Representatives Mike Johnson presented a draft that should prevent a shutdown, and it does not include aid to Ukraine or Israel at all. The White House called the draft a "frivolous initiative," but the House of Representatives suddenly passed it.

👉 Now the draft budget without aid to Ukraine and Israel must pass through the Senate, after which it will go to Biden.

Biden will surely veto it, but this will not solve the main problem: congress does not want to continue supporting Ukraine, even under the threat of Biden's veto, and further whims of the American leader risk a shutdown on November 17 - and then government and public sector salaries cannot be paid.

💢”We don’t yet know how legally significant Sidney Powell’s testimony will be in the case against Donald Trump in Fulton County, Ga., after Powell, a lawyer he worked with to overturn the 2020 election, cut a plea deal.

But judging by her comments to prosecutors last month, it might not be terribly flattering when it comes to how well Trump wielded his enormous power.

In recent months, Trump has turned to baselessly insinuating and even outright saying President Biden isn’t really in charge at the White House. He has gone so far as to posit that Biden is actually taking his cues from former president Barack Obama.

But to hear Powell tell it, it was Trump who — at one of the most consequential times in recent presidential history — wasn’t really in charge.

Powell claimed to prosecutors in the interview — a “proffer” session that was required as part of her plea deal — that she was effectively thwarted from becoming a special counsel despite Trump’s wishes.

The reason? Because White House counsel Pat Cipollone “was running the show more than Trump was.”

Powell claimed that Trump asked Cipollone at a Dec. 18 Oval Office meeting about getting Powell a security clearance.

But she recalled Cipollone saying, “You can name her anything you want, Mr. President, and nobody’s going to pay a bit of attention to it.”

“I will remember this all my life,”
Powell said, adding: “I don’t care who the president is. To have White House counsel say that I find absolutely terrifying. I mean, who is the president?”

“I believe it’s the people that are surrounding him” that are in charge, Trump baselessly alleged last month in Iowa.

Trump, in another interview, alluded to “whoever the president is” — similar to Powell’s “who is the president.” At another point, he suggested without any evidence that it was actually Obama in charge.

“Obama has plenty to deal with,” Trump said. “I call him Biden’s boss.”

Again, there is no evidence for this.”

💢 Former President Trump’s legal team on Wednesday requested a mistrial in his New York fraud case, claiming that the trial judge and his principal law clerk’s purported bias against Trump has “tainted” the case.

“This appearance of bias threatens both Defendants’ rights and the integrity of the judiciary as an institution,” Trump’s counsel wrote in the 30-page motion.

At least two thieves were reported stealing ballots from mailboxes, voters’ signatures were forged, and the ballots were voted before the real voters went to the polls and were denied their right to vote.

This isn’t a one off. These thieves are at the bottom of a well-developed system of fraud that is everywhere.
