Serbia-Kosovo crisis - Aleksandar Vučić's speech on national television:

💢 Ukraine is limiting Russian gas flow to the EU – Gazprom

Europe could receive more natural gas if Kiev agrees to reopen a second entry point, which has been shut down since May.

“Gazprom is supplying Russian gas for transit through Ukraine in the volume confirmed by the Ukrainian side through the Sudzha gas metering station – 41.7 million cubic meters as of August 1. The application to reopen the Sohranovka gas metering system has been rejected,” Gazprom's representative told reporters.

Ukraine shut down transit through the Sokhranovka station, which handles about a third of the Russian gas flowing through Ukraine to Europe, in early May, citing “interference by the occupying forces.” Kiev argued that is gas transit operator GTSOU could not control the Novopskov border compressor station in Lugansk Region due to Russia’s military operation, and considered the situation a force majeure.

"Too many German politicians want to revive relations with Russia" says Andrei Melnik, the ex-ambassador of Ukraine to Germany.

Melnik was asked to resign after comments he made to the German foreign minister as well as insults on the German president.

Many German leaders want to improve relations with Moscow in order to continue receiving gas from Russia.

After all, it is he who is the basis of Germany's economic success.

"They just have to give up these fantasies," says Melnik.

He promised that to do this, his successor "will continue to maintain pressure on Germany."

💢 Bulgarian President dissolves parliament and appoints a "technical" government.


The parliament declared no confidence in the Petkov government, but was unable to form a new government.

The cause of the conflict is a dispute over the supply of weapons to Ukraine and negotiations on the accession of Northern Macedonia to the EU.

Parliamentary elections are scheduled for October 2, they will be the fourth in a year.

The Europeans fear that Petkov's departure will lead to a postponement of EU enlargement in the Balkans.

The prime minister has already blamed Russian agents of influence for his resignation.
