In this talk, we trace the scientific journey of blood-based rejuvenation, from early “young blood” experiments and plasma exchange studies to modern platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapies.
We will discuss what platelets reveal about the body’s natural ability to repair and renew itself, as well as emerging platelet biotechnologies and what they could mean for regenerative therapies.
Our speaker, Mathieu Van Giel, is a genetic engineer and founder of Wasna, a Singapore-based biotech startup developing lab-grown platelets to make blood-based technologies safer, more scalable, and more accessible for research and application.
