We had an amazing time at “The Heartland Market: Go Vocal for Local” event, where participants immersed themselves in Singapore’s local produce at vibrant pop-up stalls! 🍄🥬
The Fireside Chat sparked thoughtful conversations as local producers, regulators, and consumers shared insights on Singapore's journey towards sustainable agriculture. 🌱 Plus, participants got to DIY their own microgreens and even tried their hand at stemming Brazilian spinach! 🥬✨
A big thank you to our speakers, partners (NUS Dept of Food Science & Technology, Beyond FST Classroom) and attendees for making this a memorable event! Let’s continue to support sustainable food choices and celebrate our local food heritage. 💚

🇸🇬 Taking over two decades to complete, "An Anecdotal History of Old Times in Singapore" is a vivid and painstakingly compiled record of 19th-century colonial life by Charles Burton Buckley. Though it has been criticized for its lack of accuracy, Buckley’s compilation remains a significant effort to preserve the stories that shaped early Singapore. 💪🏼❤️ https://blog.nus.edu.sg/linus/2025/02/28/an-anecdotal-history-of-old-times-in-singapore/
