Thank you to the Yale-NUS community - faculty, staff, students and alumni - for coming to bid the Yale-NUS Library a fond farewell, and helping to re-home our books. We're now left with around 2,000 books yet to be adopted!

If you're planning to visit us in the next few days, we suggest that you come early to avoid being disappointed, and to check on our social media for the latest updates. Books will be released to adopters on a first-come-first-served basis.

Thank you once again for your keen interest, and for giving us a chance to set things right.

⚓️ Dive into the rich maritime heritage of the Bugis people with the "Daeng Paduppa", a handwritten manuscript that systematically recorded travels, daily occurrences, and observations on maritime life in the 1880s. ⛵️

This rare manuscript not only offers a window into a long-lost a indigenous knowledge system, but also challenges the dominance of colonial and external narratives in Southeast Asian historiography. https://blog.nus.edu.sg/linus/2025/04/30/a-bugis-journal-log/
