Simba #update
Hi everyone, Simba has undergone his PCR test and the results just came back recently. He has unfortunately tested positive for FIV Subtype A, which is one of the most common strains of FIV. Unfortunately, the test is not able to identify how he contracted FIV as well, and it could be possible that his FIV was dormant up until recently when he began displaying symptoms.
Like other subtypes, subtype A has the potential to develop a chronic progressive immunodeficiency in cats.
However, with proper care such as a transition to an indoor life and biannual check-ups, it is entirely possible for Simba to live a long and prosperous life.
Thankfully, Simba is still overall in good health, eating and keeping at the usual weight!
Overall, we understand that everyone misses Simba’s presence on campus, and so do we. However, to ensure his quality of life is maintained, we unfortunately regret to announce that he will be up for adoption soon so that he may retire in a wonderful home full of cardboard for him to shred. Let us wish Simba well on his journey after graduating from NTU.

Everyone's favourite orange gremlin is now up for #adoption! 🍊 Unfortunately, he is no longer suited for life as a campus cat due to his immune system being compromised by FIV. Despite being FIV+, Simba has stayed healthy and mischievous in his foster's home.
Now, Simba is ready to be welcomed into a home permanently, so if you know anyone who's willing to have this little orange boi forever, don't hesitate to reach out!

#Mass Update
- McChicken has been all curled up and basking in the warm weather. He’s also recently gained a new skill - going for walkies! 🥰
- Simba is super active and playful as usual, and spends his free time birdwatching~ 🦜
- Boots has had her stitches removed recently, and is very cooperative with taking her medicine 🥰 Fingers crossed she will be ready for release soon!
- Little McNuggets went to the vet recently for her diarrhoea issues 🥹 She’s been slowly getting used to the routine of taking medicine!
McChicken and Simba are still looking for their furever homes! Do contact us if you’re interested in adopting either of our handsome kitties 🥰

For those who are self-collecting:

‼️We will be holding another collection session end April for the plush keychains as they require a longer production time.‼️
Merchandise (excluding the plush keychain) from Sem 2 that are not collected by May 4 will be forfeited and not eligible for a refund or mailing.
For those who opted for mailing:
We will begin mailing from the second week of April to the end of April.

Dora #update
Hi everyone, earlier yesterday we brought Dora to the vet for a scheduled FIV/FeLV test, following advice from the vet after his chest injury last October. He has tested negative for FeLV but positive for FIV.
The silver lining is that his FIV much like Simba's was caught early, any later and the risk of Dora falling very ill from catching diseases in his immunocompromised state would be higher.
Thankfully, Dora is in good health at the moment, but a compromised immune system due to FIV makes it a great risk to keep him outdoors. He will thus be fostered in the meantime, providing a safe and controlled environment where his health can be monitored. We plan to do a retest through PCR to confirm his diagnosis and the subtype of FIV he has.
We understand this is very upsetting news and we are just as saddened as you. Please keep Dora in your thoughts and wish him good health, we will continue to share updates on Dora when possible. Thank you.
