this is going to be a somewhat long post, but I just want to catch everyone up on what's happened recently for those who don't know.
Recently after downloading a blender plugin from a well known website (the page got quickly removed I wont say the website name, I was unfortunate enough to download it within that small timeframe...), I immediately received a barrage of virus files on my PC. I reacted fast and did a full sweep on the PC in safe mode to remove the viruses. Nothing really happened, so I headed to bed... I woke up the next morning to messages from friends, posts from friends on socials informing me that my accounts have clearly been hacked. They were posting scam images to everyone, everywhere on my discord all the way to my Facebook messenger. Fortunately for me this was clearly a bot they ran to do this spam, so no files or anything were compromised. I of course immediately rescanned my PC in safe mode to be sure there were no files left, and began removing security features before changing my password to something temporary and reapplying them.
It was only a few hours later that I was clear they still has something running on my PC. I was receiving emails to change passwords on platforms, then emails to confirm the password change, even after signing out from all devices with the changes. This included platforms like PayPal so it was getting rather serious. I was extremely stressed, those who know me more personally know this isn't really the greatest point in my life with everything going on at the moment, and this is by far the last thing I needed to have to deal with. I'm also closeted for both being a furry & being bi/pansexual so them having access to both my furry accounts and my IRL Facebook account was extremely worrying, bot spam or not.
So I the last thing I knew, not knowing where this hidden virus was planted, I booted my PC into bios and secure formatted every single drive, wiping every single file and reinstalled windows via a USB drive. I've secured every single account and after a few days I can say that all my accounts everywhere are now secure. But it was only after I had time to think that I realised what actually was gone.
I've lost everything...
I've lost my blender projects, my own blender files (if I sent anyone my mouse after completing the fur edits please get in contact with me), my unity projects, projects that I was excited to tell you about are now lost, including a NSFW VRC asset that was getting towards the unity stage of production. A lot of important files. I've lost pictures I've taken with friends who are no longer with us that I can't get back, I've lost all the art of my sona's throughout the years, some I worry I can't recover (Once again if anyone has any 2D art of my characters please send the files my way so I can rebuild my art archive). I could go on and on...
This has really just taken me out of things. I'm recovering, slowly re-installing everything. I've lost my collection on VFX files that allowed me to do a lot of the post processing & editing I did on my renders, these are files are sadly unable to be recovered but I'm working on building another. I can recover my avatar's blender project, pre fur update so renders will continue eventually but it's going to take a bit of time to get back to where I was.
So just bare with me while I get everything back together and I'll continue like before, it may just be a little while before the next post.

(I'M BACK! Aint no viruses/hackers, keeping this mouse down. I've lost my furred mouse blender project and post processing VFX for my renders so if it looks different than usual that's why @~@)
