For example, it may be that the water supply is contaminated. Yet we've had excess deaths for months and months across the West and no action is being taken by those in control.

I worked in the petro-chemical industry for years. If a machine overheats it triggers an alarm system, if no action is taken within a few minutes the machine will automatically cut-out. Yet, in terms of excess deaths, the alarms have been wailing for months and no action is being taken, the machine is not shutting down, despite the alarms the operators are carrying on anyway.

The mainstream media seem to be settling on this style of image to represent Musk for all the hit-pieces to come. It's unusual because the standard procedure of representing their enemies is a bellowing Fash, the angry Big Man who's whipping the rubes up into a frenzy. Their depiction of Musk is the cold and calculating Machiavellian, soft spoken but deeply dishonest and deceitful.

More generally as a populist figure Musk is seen as more of a chaotic Joker figure, or The Mule from Asimov's Foundation. The media seem to be onto that, they want him thought of as The Penguin, or even Hannibal Lector instead.
