ModelHub is getting an update 🛠

We’re continuing to build ModelHub and gradually turn it into a full-featured digital workshop for scale modelers.

Here’s what’s coming in the next update:

📦 My Stash — keep your kits and paints together in one place.
🎓 Interactive walkthrough — discover what the platform can do, step by step.
📸 Build stage photos — document your build history more easily.
🛠 Project creation — fewer unnecessary fields, more flexibility.
🖼 Photo display — cleaner layouts with less unwanted cropping.
🔎 Kit recognition — take a photo of a box, and ModelHub will help identify the kit and check its details.

And this is just the beginning.

Thank you for being with us. Your ideas and feedback help shape what ModelHub becomes next. 🧡

ModelHub — preserve not only the finished model, but the journey behind it.
Channel name was changed to «ModelHub — the scale modeler’s workshop.»
💬 Your feedback matters to us. We’re exploring an idea that could make building a model easier.

📖 Build instructions, right inside your ModelHub project

A paper instruction booklet can take up valuable space on your workbench. And if it’s in a language you don’t know well, following each step can be a challenge.

Imagine opening a digital guide in your ModelHub project, with the instructions displayed one step at a time and translated for you. You could mark steps as complete, add notes or photos, and pick up right where you left off.

ModelHub could also show the paints and materials needed for your kit, so you can check your supplies and get everything ready before you start.

Your instructions, progress, and build notes—all together in one place.

🛠 Why did we create ModelHub?

Every project has a story: the build stages, materials you choose, experiments, mistakes, and solutions that work. Over time, photos get buried in camera rolls and the details are easy to forget.
We created a digital workshop where each project’s journey stays alongside the finished result. On ModelHub, you can keep build stages, photos, and materials in one place, revisit what you’ve learned, and share your work in a dedicated showcase.

Every modeler’s experience can guide someone who’s just starting out. Your discoveries, techniques, and decisions can help newcomers approach their first project with more confidence.

Every completed project adds valuable experience to the next build.

📦 Every scale modeler has a little secret…

And it’s usually hidden in boxes. 😁

One kit is waiting for a free evening. Another needs the right paint. The third was bought on sale. And the fourth? Well, it was simply too good to pass up!

Before you know it, you’ve got enough kits to keep you busy for years. 😅

🤔 So, how many unbuilt model kits do you currently have in your stash?

We know this struggle all too well! That’s why ModelHub already has a dedicated “Stock” section. 📦

Now you can keep track of your model kits, paints, and supplies all in one place — so you’ll always know what you already own and what you still need to buy.

🛠 Get your model stash organized on ModelHub

💬 And if you’ve built up an impressive collection, show it off in the comments! We’d love to see who has the biggest model kit stash!

🔥 StuG III with a Full Interior! A New 1/35 Scale Kit from MiniArt

🇩🇪 MiniArt has unveiled a new model kit of the legendary German WWII assault gun — the StuG III Ausf. G Initial Production (Full Interior).

And this isn’t just another armored vehicle kit. The most exciting details are hidden inside! 🔍

📦 What’s inside the kit?

🔹 Full interior — detailed crew compartment, fighting compartment, transmission, and engine.

🔹 Detailed ammunition storage — a closer look at the vehicle’s internal layout.

🔹 Positionable hatches — display them open or closed.

🔹 Photo-etched and clear parts — extra opportunities for fine detailing.

🔹 Four marking options — choose your preferred historical appearance.

📏 Scale: 1/35
📦 Kit No.: 53075
🏭 Manufacturer: MiniArt

💬 Here’s a question for fellow modelers:

Is it worth spending dozens of hours detailing an interior when most of it will be hidden once the model is finished? 😁

Or is that exactly what makes scale modeling so rewarding?

🔥 A Tank That’s Already Painted? MENG Unveils the ZTZ-100 in 1/35 Scale!

🇨🇳 MENG has announced an exciting new kit — the Chinese ZTZ-100 Main Battle Tank (Accurate Color Edition), featuring factory-applied camouflage!

🎨 The biggest highlight? The exterior camouflage is already applied, allowing modelers to focus on assembly and detailing without having to paint the entire tank from scratch.

📦 What makes this kit special?

🔹 Pre-painted camouflage — factory-applied colors on exterior parts, although some components remain unpainted.

🔹 Working suspension — a detailed torsion-bar system with metal components.

🔹 Functional tracks — individual movable track links that can be assembled without glue using special tools.

🔹 Movable armament — an elevating main gun, with the coaxial machine gun moving alongside it.

🔹 Detailed optics — clear parts for headlights, periscopes, and sights.

🔹 Opening hatches — display the crew hatches open or closed.

📏 Scale: 1/35
📦 Kit No.: TS-062a
🏭 Manufacturer: MENG
🗓 Expected release: November 2026

💬 Here’s a question for fellow modelers:

If the manufacturer has already applied the camouflage, does that take away one of the most enjoyable parts of scale modeling? 🤔

🎨 Or are pre-painted kits a great way to introduce beginners to the hobby, especially those who haven’t mastered airbrushing yet?

🔹 Detailed wheelhouse — a carefully reproduced helm station and controls.
🔹 Realistic armament — machine gun mounts and ammunition storage areas.
🔹 3D-printed components — including a finely detailed bow mesh.

And do you think we need more kits of small military boats and river patrol craft?

🛠 Instructions and kit materials in your ModelHub project

We’re already working on full automation. Just upload a photo of the box: ModelHub will identify the manufacturer, kit name, item number, and scale, find the documents for that exact kit, and prepare them for your project.

Your project will automatically include:

📘 Instructions divided into sequential steps;

🎨 A list of required paints, matched against your Inventory so ModelHub can show which paints you already have and which ones are missing;

✅ Step completion tracking;

📸 Notes and photos for each step;

⏸ Saved progress, so you can pick up where you left off.

ModelHub will check the item number and scale to avoid confusing similar kits. You can focus on building your model and documenting the process.
