This is not an isolated case.
There have been multiple reports in the US of trans people and people advocating for trans rights encountering issues with their passport, visa, and voter registration status.

This is an attack on trans people and trans rights' advocates' freedoms.
By targeting voter registration status, this fascistic government is preventing opposition through regular channels.
By targeting passport access or visas, it puts trans immigrants and trans US citizens into precarious and potentially life-threatening situations (facing deportation, being unable to travel, not having any valid ID).

The US government does not only aim to repress and silence trans people and activists. By framing them as terrorists, as shown in the memorandum issued by the US attorney general (source) when mentioning "radical gender ideology", Trump's government points them as an enemy of the state.

Keep in mind that if left unaddressed, these assaults on people's rights will keep escalating.

Human disaster in Iran: 8,000 people lost their sight

According to a shocking report by *The Sunday Times*, new dimensions of violence against protesters in Iran have been revealed, representing a tragedy unprecedented in modern history.

A summary of the horrifying statistics from the report: at least 8,000 protesters across Iran have lost their sight as a result of direct shots to the eye.

About 18,000 people have died, and more than 330,000 have been injured.

In Tehran, more than 800 cases of blindness caused by direct gunfire have been recorded.

Clinical statistics show that the Noor Ophthalmology Center in Tehran alone has recorded 7,000 cases of eye injuries.

Dr. Amir Paresta, medical director in Munich, emphasized that the types of injuries to the head, neck, and chest indicate the use of military-caliber weapons intended for direct fire, causing permanent disability. Human rights organizations have described these actions as a clear example of “crimes against humanity.”

Coconut tofu green yellow curry

Ingredients:

• 3 potatoes
• Oil
• 400g tofu
• ⅓ tsp cayenne pepper
• ½ tsp salt
• 5 garlic cloves
• 2 red onions
• 1~2 tbsp thai green curry paste
• 2 tsp ginger
• 2 ½ tsp turmeric
• 2 tsp paprika
• 3 ½ tsp garam masala
• 2 handfuls finely chopped mint
• 2 handfuls finely chopped parsley
• 40~50cL coconut cream
• 1 handful walnuts
• 1 small can lentils
• 2 handfuls fresh spinach


Instructions:

In a big pot boil potatoes for 15mins. Dice tofu in the meantime. Put boiled potatoes aside in a big bowl.

Fry tofu on medium heat with cayenne and salt until golden. Dice onions and garlic in the meantime. Set tofu aside with the potatoes.

Fry onions until soft, add curry paste, mint, parsley, seasoning, garlic and a tbsp of water.

Mix until you get an even paste, add coconut cream. Mix until homogenous.

Rinse and strain your lentils, add them to the curry. Stir for a few mins.

Add potatoes, tofu, spinach. Stir until spinach has wilted.

Serve with rice.
